An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Rolling On By (Revised)
I wrote this poem while I was on a Pacific cruise to the New Calendonian Islands, in April 2018. We only had one rough day, but that managed to influence me enough, to pen this dreamy piece that night …
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I agree with Kaylaannauthor (careful typing was needed here) . Your seafaring poems are a pleasure to read, though must admit Iβm waiting for the pirates! π
We had one stormy, rough day. The very day we had a booking at the a la carte restaurant at the very top. It was so rough my husband had to hang onto the table to stop his chair from sliding across the floor. However, it did not stop us enjoying our meal !
What a wonderful layers-of-blue photo, Sia song, and vivid images and emotions poem!
On land or on sea…always good to have your angel with ye! π π
(((HUGS))) π
Sounds like you are having a wonderful trip!

Roll on By, is a mixture of the ocean and how Carole’s presence helps me get by when things are rough for me.

We were lucky, a relatively smooth cruise, only one day was a bit rough.

Getting tossed around, by these, violent waves, sometimes, we just needed that, to feel, alive.
