Here is another ‘Easter Poem’ from my archives. This one is from Easter last year (2021)
How To Eat An Easter Egg
[i] Carefully chose your Bunny’s and Egg’s
But the “Violet Crumble” box is a MUST
Deliciously smooth and tasty
[ii] Wisely place your purchase in the fridge
Australia always has a hot Easter weekend
And judiciously push the Easter delights towards the back
[iii] Patiently wait until Sunday morning
Stoically obey those traditional procedures
Mine were eaten by Saturday evening. How did you go?
[iv] Delicately unwrap the colourful foil covering
I have diligently preserved the shiny shells since my first egg-hunt
Then gently nibble open the pointy end of the exposed Egg
[v] Fiendishly devour the irresistible chocolate
Until you are more than fully satiated
Then voraciously attack the bunny and bite off his ears
WHOOPS !! surprise, surprise … that rascally easter bunny has
left me some “Eggs” to find on Sunday…

In my house, a Cadbury bunny (or 3) & a Humpty Dumpty egg are the compulsory items!

Haha.. I understand that completely… Cadbury’s are definitely the best…

Yes, for me it has to be Cadburys, though I would love to try the violet bunny! Do you get Cadburys in Australia? I can’t get it hear but luckily my family send me…sorry ‘the kids’ some at this time of year!

The Cadbury’s factory is in Tasmania(Hobart) was founded in 1922, and when I travel to Philadelphia, it’s compulsory to show up with a suitcase full of Violet Crumble bars.. yes they are very morish

That’s fascinating, I didn’t know! I’ve been to the Cadburys factory in Bournville Birmingham, UK…so Biolet Crumble is made by Cadburys? Might be worth a trip to Australia to try one!

I think we all have very similar chocolate bars but because Cadbury’s has factories all over the world each country has a different name and different packaging for the same thing. Cadbury’s was actually founded in Birmingham, England in 1824. 🙂

Wow .. that’s nearly 200 years ago .. our Hobart factory is 100 years old …😄🌏

Apparently the Australian Violet crumble bar is the equivalent to Cadbury’s Crunchie bar and was originally made by Nestle and later sold to Robert Menz.
And it seems that we do have them here in some of our stores but they’re imported from Australia and not made over here. Found this snippet.

That’s very interesting Sue. We have both the Crunchy Bar and the Violet Crumble Bar, and they definitely taste different.. and of the Violet Crumble is definitely betterer 😄🌏😎

Talking of interesting, exactly two years ago, on one of our visits to York, the home of chocolate (Terrys founded 1767) we visited the ‘Chocolate Experience’ we learned so much about the fascinating history of all chocolate.
Joss loves the chocolate orange so I got him a Chocolate Orange Easter egg this year, but it started out as a chocolate apple! Didn’t work!
Now although I’m not the greatest fan of chocolate on its own such as an Easter egg, I enjoy a Crunchie bar. And I’m definitely going to keep an eye open for your Violet Crumble, it sounds delicious. 🙂

Obviously by risk you mean we have to turn upside down!
No Easter eggs for me this year I’m limiting my sugar intake. Lockdown extra eating /drinking has caught up with me and I’ve no wish to become a diabetic.
Mind you, it helps that I’m not too bothered about chocolate 🙂
