G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

For me, the song has a much more haunting feel than your poem …. but that could be just me. On the other hand, I liked it! My memories keep falling into your hands to write more poems.
Thank you Frank , I enjoy searching for songs to go with my poems, and this one by David Gilmore is definitely a good find for me .. my was quickly slotted in because Coffee House Writers magazine are publishing my βpoemβ next week!! π€π
Oh, this poem is so beautiful, Ivor! And to read it while listening to Mr. Gilmour sing brought smiles! You are so in tune/in touch with the beauty in nature and it shows in the brilliance of your writing! The clouds have a heartbeat and it shines forth in your poem! π
(((HUGS))) π
Oh wow.. gorgeous praise indeed Carolyn ππ€ β¦ πΆ. we got rained during our walkie, and the crickets and millipedes were very active, and basically I had written the poem in my head before we got home π‘ .. the David Gilmore video was one I found on the weekend β¦ πΆπΆπ€ππΆπ

Thank you Cassa… I don’t venture out too far these days, but I think that helps me to observe the universe that surrounds me …
