That Endless Sound

This little piece is a poetic comment that I wrote in response to V.J. ‘s intriguing poem, ‘On the Edge of Too Late’ >>
Thank you V.J. for touching my nerve ends!!

That Endless Sound

I wonder about the edge

Over time, the dance has eluded me

Between giddily spinning in circles

And my inevitable stumbles

Life has left me spiraling

Without, an ending sound

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. This is powerful and ponderful, Ivor! I can relate to it!
Your poem makes me think about this…the dancing and the giddily spinning can be fun…but the stumbling and spiraling has made life interesting and that is when I grew and learned the most.
I went over and read the poem you linked…and I like how your responded to it with your poem.
