An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Urban Glare
The weekend challenge on Weekly Prompts is:Review. Please visit their fabulous site by clicking >> Here … Below is my response to their prompt, and you are quite welcome to ‘Read and Review’ my poem “Urban Glare”
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

A powerful important trio…Derrick’s photo, your poem, and the music!
Human-Beans need those nature spaces and places…so we must appreciate them and take care of them.
(((HUGS)))
PS…I so enjoy the Head and the Heart band!
Thank you Carolyn … I was at the gorgeous Moorabool Valley Chocolate Cafe when I wrote this … the Cafe is a beautiful oasis on the outskirts of. ‘Urban Geelong’ … and surprisingly there are some people that don’t know of it … and so a poem was born 💕🤗🌏📖
Yeah … The Head and the Heart are a great band .. and the music/video was perfect for my poem 🎶😊🤗
Oh … Frankie loves going to the Moorabool Valley Chocolate Cafe 🐶🌏🤗
The brand new song 🎶 from ‘The Head and the Heart’
I went to the Bowl and Pitcher to view the river and hike up the mountain and coming from Florida, I’ve never seen and appreciate anything as clean and well kept as that place and Spokane WA. Nature is wonder, beauty, wild, and adventurous and i try to go every weekend to just breath in the clean air.
Thank you for your lovely comments Kayla … in my poem “Down into the valley” is actually a gorgeous rural cafe set in a farm property overlooking a valley .. it’s called the “Moorabool Valley Chocolate Cafe” … me and Frankie (Cavoodle) walk to there at least once a week 🤗🌏🐶
A getaway is always welcome!

I find myself doing this a lot too. How can people not appreciate the beauty of nature, and want to protect it?
