A Welcoming Roar

In every second there is a moment

In every moment there is a heartbeat

Within every heartbeat the next moment lives

Lava comes and goes

As our world

Continues to flow

There is a soft edge

To every hard stone

All the world is green

Along my soul’s causeway

The trees rustling voices

Are nature’s welcoming roar

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      1. These days we’re told that movement is better than bed rest, but I’ve always found more relief from bed rest than walking around. I wish you well. 🙂

      2. We’re all different aren’t we with our various types of back pain – the best thing ever for my back was when the physio massaged it, seemed a bit sore at the time, but the movement immediately afterwards was so much easier. 🙂
