G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thank you Carolyn … feeling oddlywise this morning …. after attending Uncle Clive’s (Carole’s) funeral yesterday, we were great mates, and played golf together … he was the last one of our Uncles & Aunties … so it feels oddly strange /or strangly odd today … an end of era .has passed me by … ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜ .

      1. Aw. I’m so sorry for your loss. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Yes, I understand exactly how you feel. All of my aunts and uncles have now passed.
It is odd…and realized me and my siblings and spouses are the eldest generation alive now. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
OH, my gosh, thank you for that song! I love John Williamson’s voice. His voice and that song gets me teary-eyed. I know there are true blue people all over the world! ๐Ÿ™‚ โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
