After Memoria

Hello dear readers and followers, I now write for “Coffee House Writers” magazine on a fortnightly basis, and my poem “After Memoria”, is in this week’s edition of Coffee House Writers Magazine. … please click on the link below and visit my poem, at Coffee House Writers.

After Memoria

Sliding into euphoria

After falling out of Memoria

Where to start

When there is no beginning

The judges guns remain loaded

But there is no-one on the causeway

Why is the coldest mountain?

In the middle of the desert

How to climb the lowest alps?

Below the deepest ocean

How to soar and fly?

Without wings in a vacant sky

Can the old river be paddled?

After the bath runs dry

Where to find happiness

After falling in the marathon

How to slide into euphoria

After falling out of Memoria

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thank you Cindy 💕 life’s journey is certainly a marathon. … it’s not a race, but a test of your soul’s resilience and your heart’s compassion for others around you 💕🌏🤗

  1. Such truth in your ponderful powerful poem, Ivor!
Yes, life is a marathon…and we must focus on endurance, not speed. 🙂

    1. I love your Quote Carolyn … my legs are very weary lately and I’m walking slowly .. Frankie keeps looking back at me telling me hurry up 🐶… I like this poem too and I have added it to my list of poems for my next book… maybe before Easter next year 📕🌏🤗💕

    1. Marathons are like that… they’re personal but the runners have a lot of respect and compassion for their fellow competitors through the highs and lows during the events … just like life, we slide in and out Euphoria so quickly
