Will the Doves Ever Be Free?




Sunday morning

The bells are petitioning

For more than a King’s Ransom




Sunday’s doves are loudly singing

Their unceasing

And unfinished Anthem




Beyond Sunday’s unanswered sessions

The bells will not stop resounding

The Chimes of Freedom

I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. I love the Anthem song by Julie and Perla, Leonard Cohen’s backing singers , and they sang the wonderful tune with such true emotion 🤗🎼🎶😊 it was something different for me to place my stanzas between the music/videos 🎶 Thank you Carolyn 🤗🌏😍🐶
