A Friend

do you have a friend

that’s bound in a cocoon

living on egg-shells

broken by sickly X-ray beams

their life’s virtual hell

and for whom you want to scream

unconditionally you’ve given your love

now they’re tired

for help from above

Under A Celestial Star

I didn’t have a dream

My night-time was a void

No crystal shallows or bubbling streams

No deep blue ocean covered in white caps

The tropical sunshine a distant past

My courtyard flowers are coldly dormant

Autumn leaves shrivel upon the damp

The Sun’s not to be seen

No shadows or garden beams

My cloudiness a sombre screen

The front door is slightly ajar

All I see is a celestial star

I didn’t live my dream

All is not what it seems

But I’m quietly satisfied with my stay

Charting my days under a celestial star

Tit Bits #7

Storms do come and go

high seas and undertow’s

my chaotic fears on show

awaiting the next big snow

let the pendulum swing

posterity’s blowing in the wind

I’m sitting here on the floor

It’ll be for a short time

’til I find a door

I’m slippery like an eel

I flow with the field

my mood changes with the breeze

I can be cold as ice in a freeze

or I can be warm as toast

sunbathing on a tropical coast

I can be a chameleon in the trees

not easy to see, but ready to please

My soul is open

your eyes look into my heart

your moon’s my Bowman

cupids arrows play Mozart

Remembrance Colours

Time bygone, This Lost Shadow

Words written, your May Day

Timed out at one-fifteen

An afternoon, vividly clear

Words written, a tragic play

Remembering my Gracious Lady

A Midday Sun, you were gold

Words of moonlight, and silver too

Words under stars, celestial and bold

Words upon oceans, purples and blue

Words on fire, Smouldering beams

Words Rain In May, your favourite green

Words cry tears, Liquid Joy and mellow

Words an eternal vault, In My Mind

Words of sorrow and tomorrow

Words of love, you were my dove

Life’s colours, you were every hue

A life story, coloured and true

The words in Italic, are all referring to poems of mine that have appeared on my blog site here since I started on June 7th 2017,  https://ivors20.wordpress.com/2017/11/09/this-lost-shadow-3/   https://ivors20.wordpress.com/2017/09/06/gracious-lady/   https://ivors20.wordpress.com/2017/10/19/a-midday-sun/   https://ivors20.wordpress.com/2017/07/07/smoldering/   https://ivors20.wordpress.com/2018/01/12/rain-in-may/             https://ivors20.wordpress.com/2017/06/07/a-few-words/ https://ivors20.wordpress.com/2018/04/17/in-my-mind/

I dreamt of her serenity

I gently held her frailty

I whispered calmly

words of love and grace

unable to fathom

her living museum
