G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Unfortunately, that’s exactly how it is. And sad. You captured it perfectly. and powerfully, in your haiku, Ivor. I hope many will read and be called to action to do the right things.
It’s sad when people in authority blame others…won’t own up to their mistakes…can’t apologize and then do the right thing, etc…what a terrible example they are to everyone, but especially children. 😦
(((HUGS)))
PS… The Four Birds is a lovely piece of art! Aren’t birds wonderful!?! 🙂
The wonderful artwork truly enhanced my poem..
….. I’m afraid your president is setting a bad example at the moment, by blaming Asians/Chinese, to take the attention away from his own poor performance……
I hope Haiku wasn’t too provocative….

You don’t have to tell me that. I’m heartbroken and sick over THAT MAN. 😦
I have a niece who was born in Korea and a nephew who is Chinese (His parents were born in China. He was born in the US.) And many other Asian friends. Some of them here AND in other countries are getting harassed by white people. 😦
It’s so sad as a leader, that HE irresponsibly incites racism…. my friends here in Australia are all shocked by HIS dumbfounding statements…. maybe the “Dettol” is used to wash his ‘mouth’…….
Lovely haiku and picture 😊

It’s always, easier, to point out fingers and blame someone else, than to, come, face to face, with the truth of, our selves…

What is happening stateside is horrendous, when will they ever learn!

Doesn’t seem like they are capable of learning….. or they don’t want to learn because they’re ‘supremacists’
