Waiting In Line For My Time

Am I the only one?
Am I early?
Or am I late?
For my wake

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Powerful piece, Ivor! Great photo and poem combo…with a surprise ending. And The Kinks song is a fave! πŸ™‚
But you are way way way too early! Go have some coffee and cake and keep poet-ing! πŸ˜‰

      1. Hi Carolyn .. I’m ok.. it was a big day for me yesterday… to the skin-cancer specialist in morning – to have a cancer spot taken off.. and the Doc said I could go to my luncheon appointment at 1.00pm, a catch-up with Carole’s girlfriends who helped me and Carole out during her 30 years of MS… they were truly loyal friends, and we get together 4 times a year, to celebrate Carole’s life … and then late afternoon I went to the “pub” to catch-up with my mates for my weekly Thursday outing … yep a busy day … .. πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ƒ
