A Third Eye is Watching 

Happy 75th birthday to my dear departed wife Carole, and I am also celebrating the 10th anniversary of her passing from this world.

A Third Eye is Watching 


When your emotions begin to flow 

Do your senses amplify and grow? 


Bodily aches and mental strains intensify 

Your flooded brain feels like a third eye 

Wondering why? 

You are paddling knee-high 

In yesterday’s goodbyes 


Today my universe 

Hovers above my verse 

And there is no reason to cry 

While her soul resides high and dry

  4. what a beautiful tribute to your dear sweet Carol Ivor. I’m sure she will be flying circling love around you today so don’t cry so much that you don’t see the dropped feathers. I hope someone loves me that much someday.

    1. Thank you Carolyn .. I tried to keep my poem uncomplicated and lovingly loyal, just like Carole … oh Derrick’s magnificent photos were my prompt for my intriguing use of “third eye”
      I wasn’t sure about the song, but after watching the video a few times, I think it depicted my emotions … after our walkie, I will pick some flowers from my courtyard and me and Frankie will go to the cemetery to see Carole .. these beautiful ‘Purple Mona Lavender’s are blooming ..😊😍💜💜
