G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Congratulations, Ivor! πŸ™‚
    Let us know what happens!

That is one of my fave songs… “But I hear the music, I feel the beat
And for a moment, when I’m dancing, I am free…”
It makes me get joy-teary-eyed and all-smiley! πŸ™‚

  2. Congratulations my friend! You seem to be so “into” getting your poems published (or at least read). What is your secret? I think I have too many projects going on at one time. My biggest — and most favorist — project is my blog. Both of them. But I have books that have been written, poetry that has been mused, and I spend little or no time trying to get others to read them. Maybe you have a secret you can share. Besides your love of the written word….
